Focused Ultrasound

Partnering with industry to revolutionize focused ultrasound.

Led by Dr. Kullervo Hynynen, vice president of research and innovation and the Temerty Chair in Focused Ultrasound Research, Sunnybrook is advancing the next generation of focused ultrasound — including a helmet system with the potential to transform treatment of brain disease.

SRI also recently licensed the neuromodulation indication of the technology to Grey Matter Neurosciences, a new start-up with the potential to advance treatment of Alzheimer's and other brain disorders.
