Chapter Three

The next generation of high-performing teams.

Sunnybrook is investing in the people who will deliver tomorrow's care — from secondary-school students discovering medicine for the first time, to clinical teams rehearsing tomorrow's procedures in our Simulation Centre.

ER Discovery Day

ER Discovery Day brings curious students inside the Emergency Department, exposing them to the realities — and the rewards — of front-line care. The program continues to grow, building a more diverse and motivated future workforce.

We want this to grow. The demand is there, and we have the passion to match it. With continued support, we can reach even more students and help them envision a future in health care.

Safe space to learn

The Sunnybrook Simulation team helps bridge the gap between planning and clinical practice through hands-on training directly in the OR. Engaging the Simulation Centre early in the construction of new spaces has helped teams test workflows before patients ever arrive.

These simulations had a significant impact on our work by bridging the gap between planning and the reality of clinical practice, ultimately leading to a safer and more functional environment for both patients and staff.
